- Firework cakes, or batteries, are the most popular pyrotechnic products because they deliver a powerful, varied show with a single ignition. A cake consists of several tubes that fire one after another, creating different effects in the sky: coloured comets, crackles, tails, strobes, glittering sparks and palm effects that open high up.
