Crackling balls are small F1-category ground fireworks that crackle, flash and throw sparks right at ground level once lit. They do not fly into the sky, so they suit a smaller yard, a summer cottage or a birthday where you cannot set off a big cake. The category includes DumBum balls (Crackling, Rotate, Strobo), Crazy Balls, Kalashnikov, Meteorit and a young pyrotechnician's kit.

What makes crackling balls different?

All products belong to category F1 – the lowest hazard level of pyrotechnics, with a minimum user age of 12. The effect is short and stays on the ground: a crackling sound, coloured sparks, a flashing strobe or fire spinning on the ground. Prices start from 1 euro, and DumBum balls come in packs of 30.

How to choose?

Crackling balls give the most sound. For a light effect, go for Strobo balls; for movement, Rotate balls that spin on the ground. If you are buying for a child for the first time, choose a kit – it lets them try several different effects. Most products have a video so you can see the effect before buying.

Where to buy?

Crackling balls can be ordered by courier across Estonia or picked up at our shop in Tallinn at Punane 40. You can see stock levels on the product page; for more information call +372 58 470147.

Safety tips

Light the product outdoors on a flat, non-flammable surface (asphalt, stone, sand), away from dry grass and leaves. Do not hold a lit product in your hand or point it at people or animals; step a few metres back after lighting. If a product fails to go off, do not relight it: wait a few minutes and soak it in water. An adult must always be next to the child.
